The Diagnostic Test of the National Project Ultra-low NOx Pulverized Coal Combustion Technology before the Retrofit Participated by LY Power Successfully Completed
Recently, the diagnostic test of the national project, Ultra-low Nox Pulverized Coal Combustion Technology Project, on the 330MW unit in Inner Mongolia Dongsheng Thermal Power Co., LTD (hereinafter referred to as Guodian Dongsheng) in which LY Power participated was successfully completed.
Ultra-low NOx Pulverized Coal combustion Technology was a key national research and development plan set up in 2018. By applying coal pretreatment technology and in-furnace combustion adjustment this technology can lower the boiler NOx emission to 50-100mg/m3, and improve its technical index to international leading level. The project was approved by the Ministry of Science and Technology of China in May 2018, and LY Power was entrusted to undertake one theme and three sub-themes. This diagnostic test was an important node in the research and development of the project in 2019. The present NOx emission level of boiler No. 2 in Guodian Dongsheng and other main operating parameters of the boiler before the retrofit will be an important basis for the formulation of the ultra-low NOx emission retrofit technology for 300MW and above boilers.
The test was led and organized by the Plasma Technology Research and Development Department of the company. With support from the Boiler Clean Combustion Division of LY Power and the assistance from Guodian Dongsheng, the test was successfully completed with the participation of the scientific research personnel of each subject undertaking and participating units. Through this test, the company not only found out the key parameters and operation situation of the 330MW unit of Guodian Dongsheng before retrofit, but also laid a solid foundation for the smooth completion of the mid-term index of the project, which would effectively promote the development process of the project.
