    Introduction of Technologies
 
    Plasma is the fourth form of matter beside liquid,solid and gas.It is neutral as a whole and rich inside with many active action, anion, electron and molecule. The core temperature of Plasma jet produced by plasma generator is up to 8000~10000℃ and forms a reasonable temperature field when combined with plasma burner so as to promote pyrolysis and combustion of coal powder. By taking advantage of this feature, plasma ignition and combustion stabilizing systems for pulverized coal-fired boiler has substituted fuel oil during boiler startup and combustion stabilization and realized fuel oil free startup of boiler as well as stable combustion.
 
    The application of plasma ignition technology and realization of fuel oil free ignition at the initial stage of boiler ignition avoid air pollution problems caused by lack smoke when dust cleaning device cannot be used for fuel oil ignition. It is a good solution to this problem especially when the state is implementing regulations relating elimination of desulfurization bypass.
 
Features

Application and cases
 
    For the past decade, Plasma Ignition and Combustion Stabilizing Technology has been developed and improved in practice. It has been widely recognized in the market. Up to Oct. 1st, 2012, Plasma Ignition and Combustion Stabilizing Technology has been successfully applied on 627 coal-fired units with a total capacity of over 265GW, of which 69 units are of 1000MW, 318 units are of 600MW, 120 units are of 300MW, 116 units are of 200MW. The total fuel-oil saved owing to the application of the technology is added up to 5 million tons with a cost-reduction as much as 25 billion RMB. The technology can be used for tangential-fired and wall-fired units with direct-flow burner or swirl burner and different pulverizing system, storage or direct-fired (major), burning different kinds of coal, such as bituminous coal and lignite. The coal mills including steel ball mill, middle-speed mill and double inlet & outlet mill. In a word, PICS is suitable for
the coal-fired units of different capacities, boiler types, combustion types and pulverizing types. Plasma Ignition and Combustion Stabilizing Technology has also been successfully applied in Korea, Russia, Turkey and Indonesia.
